ACB Selection Committee announced Afghanistan’s squads for the upcoming Islamic Bank of Afghanistan series against Ireland in Dehradun, India. The series will consist of three T20Is, Five ODIs and the first ever Test between both teams.
Addressing the press conference, Chief Selector Dawlat Ahmadzai expressed confidence that the selected squads will be able to achieve victory against Ireland while also ensure effective preparation for the ICC Cricket World Cup later this year. He added that the purpose of the training camps held in Chennai and Bengaluru prior to the series was also to prepare a competitive team for this series and the World Cup.

Asghar Afghan(C), Usman Ghani, Najeeb Tarakai, Hazratullah Zazai, Samiullah Shinwari, Mohammad Nabi, Shafiqullah Shafaq, Rashid Khan, Najibullah Zadran, Karim Janat, Farid Malik, Sayed Shirzad, Zia ur Rahman Sharifi, Mujeeb ur Rahman, Zahir Khan and Sharafuddin Ashraf

The Islamic Bank of Afghanistan series will be held in Dehradun’s Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium from 21st February to 19th March.
