The fourth one-day between Afghanistan-A and Bangaldesh-A ends with no result

The fourth one-day of the five-match One-day series between Afghanistan-A and Bangladesh-A ended with no result due to persistent rain in Savar.

Having won the toss after delay due to outfield, Afghanistan-A opted to bowl first in match that was initially shortened to 44 overs and then to 40 overs per side. Bangladesh were all out for 176 runs as Afghanistan-A were set a target of 187 runs under the DLS method.

Naveen ul haq was impressive bagging 5-wicket haul while Qais Ahmad and Sharafuddin Ashraf took one wicket each while three batsmen were run-out. Bangladesh A's Afif Hassan and Imrul Kayes scored 45 and 33 runs respectively.

In response, Afghanistan-A scored at a rapid rate before the match was interrupted due to persistent rain with the visitors being 57/0 in 8.2 overs.

As the rain persisted, the Umpires called off the match which ended with no result as Afghanistan-A fell short of the DLS par score by 4 runs.

Afghanistan-A leads the series 2-1 as the final match of the series is scheduled on 29th July.
