Afghanistan-A beat Bangladesh-A by 4 wickets in a thrilling contest at ZACS ,Chatogram.
Having won the toss, Afghanistan-A opted to bowl first. Bangladesh-A posted 278/9 in their 50 overs as skipper Mohammad Mithun top-scored with 85 runs. Naim Sheikh and Imrul Kayes also scored 49 and 40 runs respectively. For Afghanistan-A, Karim Janat and Fazal Niazai took three wickets each.
In response, Ibrahim Zadran's brilliant century guided Afghanistan's innings as the youngster scored 127 which included 7 fours and 7 sixes. Afghanistan-A were in trouble at one point requiring 82 off the last 7 overs. However, a 37 run partnership in just three overs between Sharafuddin Ashraf and Fazal Niazai took them home with five balls to spare.
The victory gave Afghanistan-A a lead of 2-0 in the five-match series.
The third match of the series will be played on 24th July at the same venue.
